Trapped in a lift? What next?

Trapped in a lift? What next?

What you need to do if & when you are trapped in a lift?
We never know when & where accidents will happen to us, or to people around us. This information may help many, when 'the not so pleasant' things happen to either you, your friends, or your loved ones.
This happened to a friend....in his own words...
"One day, while in a lift, it suddenly broke down & began falling from level 13 at a brisk pace.
Fortunately, I remembered having watched a TV program that said you must quickly press all the buttons for all the levels. I did that & finally, the lift did stop - at the 5th level. Whew!"
Remember!
* When you are faced with a life & death situation, whatever decision or action you make, will decide, whether you survive or not.
* If you are caught in a lift breakdown, the first thought that comes to mind is, 'I'm going to die', but after you read what is mentioned below, things will definitely be different – should you (God forbid), ever get caught in a mal-functioning lift.
1). Quickly press all the buttons for all the different levels of the lift. When the emergency electricity supply is activated, it will stop the lift from falling further.
2). Hold on tightly to the handle (if there is any). This is to support your position & prevent you from falling or getting hurt, should you lose your balance.
3). Lean your back & head against the lift wall, keeping your back in a straight line. (Leaning against the wall, is to use it as a support for your back/spine as protection).
4). Bend your knees. Your ligament is a flexible, connective tissue. Thus, the impact of fractured bones (should it result), will be minimised during the fall.
Do share this valuable information with your family & friends, coz' life is not always 'certain', right?
Cheers.
:)
