Every woman yearns to have long, thick and shining hair with a healthy bounce! Yet, changing seasons and hectic lifestyles make it extremely hard to manage the tresses. Here's the trick to fixing tress troubles

If neglected, your hair may show signs of hair fall, split ends, dryness, dandruff, roughness and often hangs dull and lifeless. Here are simple ways you can help your tresses bounce back from some common hair disasters.

Dry hair:

-If you suffer from dry, lifeless looking hair, wash it 2-3 times a week with a mild hydrating shampoo. Herbal ingredients like Aloe Vera, vetiver oil and licorice hydrate and nourish the hair roots and also provide moisture to your hair and scalp
-While choosing a shampoo, always opt for a shampoo which is SLES free. Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) which is commonly used in many shampoos is a foaming agent which may contain traces of impurities like 1,4- dioxane which may cause harmful effects when used for long time.
-Conditioning your hair is a must as tangled hair is a common problem. A good shine-enhancing conditioner smoothens out the hair, making it easily manageable. Look for extracts of Holy Basil and Amla in conditioners. These ingredients soothe, condition and replenish lost moisture, making your hair soft. Use only wide-toothed combs to detangle wet hair.
-Too much of ironing, blow drying, curling, and coloring can take away the life out of your locks. Avoid using hair styling products with alcohol which dry out hair, and avoid putting hair styling products directly on your scalp, as they clog the pores on your head. If you need to blow dry your hair, apply a leave-on conditioner prior to it.
-Oil massage and leaving it overnight once a week can be very helpful in keeping the hair in healthy state. Amla, Bhringaraja are ideal ingredients to look for.

Oily hair:

-Greasy hair can be quite a fashion disaster. Hot oil treatments once a week can be very helpful in keeping the hair revitalized. Amla, Bhringaraja are ideal for hair
-Use a protein shampoo to keep your hair to restore your hair to its healthy state. Chickpea, Wheatgerm and Amla are excellent ingredients to find in your shampoo. The formulation of these ingredients removes excess oiliness and nourishes hair roots
-Dry your hair completely before leaving the house.
-Avoid using styling products as it could make hair appear greasy due to increased product build up
-If dandruff is a concern, choose anti-dandruff shampoos with tea tree oil. Tea tree oil contains terpenoids which have been found to have antiseptic and antifungal properties.

Limp hair:
-Use a volumizing shampoo if your hair tends to go limp. A daily-use shampoo enriched with Chickpea, Amla, Black Myrobalan, Eclipta, Licorice provide natural protein nourishment to the hair, thereby nourishing the hair. It stimulates hair follicles thus promoting hair growth and also improves texture of the hair. This not only brings forth a rich, natural shine and soft texture to the hair, but also helps rejuvenate hair that is dull and damaged. These natural herbs will sooth the scalp, providing your hair with its daily dose of proteins, keeping it soft, lustrous and healthy
-Follow it up with a volume-enhancing conditioner to seal the moisture in your locks
-You can boost hair volume by tying your hair in loose braids or buns before you go to bed
-Applying a tiny amount of hair cream best suited for your hair type will not only benefit in hair growth but will also give volume to your mane. Opt for a hair cream with natural ingredients like wheat-germ and chickpea.

Hair cut and hair styling disaster
If you have cut your bangs too short, don't panic. Just brush back your hair and use a stylish clip to make it look chic. You can also turn a scarf into a headband. Even the flattest or fuzziest hair looks stylish when swept back with a scarf.

If your short hair has fallen flat, use a hair cream to massage your hair. A hair cream not only protects and nourishes the hair, but adds volume

A regular routine comprising of shampooing, conditioning and oil massage along with a well-balanced diet is the key to healthy and lustrous hair. Follow these simple tips and say goodbye to your mane woes. Taking good care of your hair makes all the difference.
